The Women Without Innocencenaked mole rat is not a very popular creature. They aren't so cute and sort of look like...well we'll get to that.
The Canada Centre for Child Protection has a new campaign to end sextortion, which they define as, "when someone threatens to send a sexual image or video of you to other people if you don’t pay them or provide more sexual content."
In order to keep sensitive photos from floating around on the internet, the Centre is asking teens to send naked mole-rats instead of naked photos. It hopes that this will protect teens and maybe inspire a few laughs.
Just look at a naked mole rat and it makes perfect sense. It is hilarious how much they resemble dicks with teeth. The campaign's video paints a very clear picture to teens, "Long, veiny, and fleshy, the naked mole rat—you can call it Willy—looks a lot like that picture you were just about to send, except it’s got two beady little eyes and four sharp teeth at the tip."
SEE ALSO: This 'dick code' will help you send a dick pic without taking a single photoThe website, Don'tGetSextorted.ca, features numerous memes and gifs you can download and send in reply to that "pics?" request. Some make references to pop culture, while others are simply gifs of mole rats running through tunnels. Either way, the "you just got trolled" message is totally conveyed.
SEE ALSO: Teen has truly multilayered response to shady nude photo requestThe centre's executive director, Lianna McDonald, expressed the importance of humor to reach young people's attention in an interview the The New Yorker, “It’s brazen. But when you’re dealing with young people, you have to think creatively. If we’re not getting their attention, we’re not doing our job.”
Don't be surprised if the next time you ask for nudes you receive a different kind of phallic imagery.
