We were all doing so well. Sowell! And then GameStop Ireland had to screw it all up.
The Karen Foster Archivesinternet hivemind seemed to be moving on from fidget spinners, but now GameStop Ireland is handing them out like candy to anyone buying the Crash Bandicoot N'Sane Trilogy. Did you even need more convincing to check out Activision's sharp remakes?
SEE ALSO: Conan O'Brien and Will Arnett fumble their way through Nintendo's 'ARMS'There isa catch, however. To get your free, blue camouflaged fidget spinner you have to trade in at least one game and use that credit toward your purchase of Crash. Any game will do, as Eurogamerconfirmed with GameStop Ireland.
The promotion was first revealed in a Facebook post. May it forever live in infamy.
I have so many questions. Why blue camouflage? Also: why? Just why? It's not clear if GameStop is running this promotion in any other regions, but let's hope not.
All the (deserved) fidget spinner snark aside, there is one great thing about this latest development: the Facebook comments section. Go check it out. The revelation of this freebie offer drew an immediate, hilarious response.
There also might be some buried good news here. If GameStop is giving fidget spinners away... maybe that means they're not selling?
