Guardians of the Galaxy,Foreign Archives Vol. 2is already doing well internationally, but while U.S. fans are still waiting for the film's release, one of its stars, Zoe Saldana, decided to give everyone a behind-the-scenes peek.
SEE ALSO: 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' is Marvel at its most emotionalOn Saturday, Saldana posted a timelapse video on Twitter that shows exactly how much work it takes to become Gamora, her green-skinned character in the film.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
Instead of a simple slathering on green makeup, it turns out that her transformation takes just over three hours of intense detail work from two makeup artists.
Of course, none of that stops Saldana from losing herself in her smartphone during the process, but it still looks hard to sit still for so long to get her alien face and body on.
We'll skip the obvious Nina Simone makeup digs and just let Saldana have her sci-fi moment (but the internet never forgets).
The second installment of Guardians of the Galaxyhits U.S. theaters on May 5.
