With the minutes of his presidency dwindling,Deborah Sullavan Archives 44th President of the United States Barack Obama sent what are likely his final tweets from the @POTUS twitter account on Friday morning, leaving the White House as he entered it: with a message of inspiration and hope.

Obama, joined by Greatest Human Being Ever Michelle Obama, posted a quick video to the Obama Foundation's YouTube page to connect with people for ideas of what to work on next.
Later, the White House also sent what is it's likely final tweet under the Obama administration.
So with these final tweets, Obama's social media presence as president comes to a close and the accounts associated with the Oval Office transfer to Donald Trump. But you'll be able to go back and read Obama's presidential tweets.
Once Trump has been sworn in, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) will transfer all of Obama's tweets at @POTUS over to the account @POTUS44. The same will go for Joe Biden's @VP tweets (@VP44) and Michelle Obama's @FLOTUS tweets (@FLOTUS44).
In fact, the NARA is busy making sure all of the digital and social media content created by the Obama White House across multiple platforms, from Medium to YouTube, will likewise be stored on new archival accounts so that they'll still live online and be viewed by the public.
As Obama's presidential Twitter time comes to an end, we look forward to the incendiary tweets to come from his successor and mourn the dad jokes we will no longer enjoy.
