On Snapchat, the actress retold her story of an employee who treated her and a friend rudely after they tried to purchase $400 worth of gift cards, alleging that the treatment was fueled by racism.

"In fact I recall her not trying to help us at all, saying that we couldn't buy the gift cards and then throwing my wallet."
Zendaya explained that while the woman at the checkout didn't chuck her wallet across the room, she did tossed it causing her card to fall out.
"I can't make this shit up," she said, before her friend added "because we are black....'you can't afford this,' is how she looked at me."
"Long story short, there's so much progress to be done in our world," she concluded. "It's all love, may she go on to have a wonderful life."
