Unicode, the company that designs and approves emoji, released a look at nine new emoji that could be approved in 2025. Among the designs: a distorted face, a "fight cloud," a Bigfoot-esque creature, an apple core, a ballet dancer, an orca, a trombone, a landslide, and a treasure chest.

The BBC reported that the proposed new emoji would be up for approval in September 2025 — and that there could be many more emoji added for an approval vote between now and then.
A number of new emoji were approved in 2024, including a harp, a leafless tree, a shovel, and a flag for the tiny island of Sark.
