Amazon is Watch Believer Onlineofficially in the music streaming business.
The online retail giant this week debuted Amazon Music Unlimited, its service meant to compete with Spotify and Apple Music.
The music streaming service costs $7.99 a month for Prime members — $2 cheaper than the $9.99 rate set by the major streaming options so far.
But is that enough for Amazon to compete with the biggest players in music? On this week's episode of Mashable's business section podcast Biz Please, business editor Jason Abbruzzese, business reporter Kerry Flynn and I sat down to discuss Amazon's prospects and our own music streaming habits.
Can Amazon draw Spotify subscribers who already have Prime? Will Prime subscribers who don't have a music streaming option finally sign up? What does Amazon's play mean for Spotify and Apple Music?
Listen to more about Amazon's push for music subscribers and what it means for the streaming business below. For more Biz Please, subscribe to the podcast on iTunes and find us here on Stitcher.
