Concerned that your pet or tumblr sex slave videotoddler will destroy your beloved Christmas tree and everything on it? Then perhaps a half Christmas tree is for you?
Two different varieties of half Christmas trees are currently being sold on the UK-based online retailer Argos for £33.33 and £37.50. Each one stands six-feet tall and only contains branches and leaves on the top half of the tree.
Curious as to what they look like? Well, just take a peak at these gangly, fake evergreens.
There's the lush-ish green option:
Or, a snowier choice:
The general idea -- err hope, is that the lack of bottom branches will keep your pets and small children from destroying your ornaments or ingesting anything dangerous. Plus, you can expect to have more room for presents underneath the half-tree than you would a full tree.
It is a far cry from the traditional — live or fake — Christmas tree we've all come to love and accept. You know, the one that's not missing any branches. But, hey, it's probably somewhat effective, right?
Sadly, for those of you who are pro half Christmas tree, Argo will only be shipping its orders within the UK this holiday season, according to Good Housekeeping. Looks like you'll just have to anxiously guard your regular ol' tree from any potential destroyers until these half trees make it to the states.
