There have Emmy Rossum nude sex scene in Shamelessbeen countless examples this week of Republicans who are desperate to blame America's gun violence problem on anything but the guns themselves.
In the aftermath of the horrendous mass shootings in Texas and Ohio, Trump and his supporters have spoken about mental illness and video games as being two potential causes -- much to the frustration of those calling for tighter gun control.
Trevor Noah is one of those people -- and to make a point about it, the late night host and his team at The Daily Showactually madea video game.
"For a lot of politicians, the solution has been to do something about video games," he said on Thursday. "Because they've said that violent video games have the power to influence people to commit murder.
"And that got us thinking, if video games are so persuasive, maybe video games could even inspire politicians to do something to end gun violence. That's why The Daily Showmade a new online game called The Legislator. We made it in one day. License to bill!"
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
The game can be played online here. Your objective? Trying to get gun control legislation passed by Congress. It basically involves navigating through a series of decisions in order to get your bill passed -- culminating in an intense showdown with Mitch McConnell himself as the final boss.

"Who knows, maybe it'll even inspire people in Congress to go out there and actually write some laws."
