"Today, after handing in my last assignment, Emily and I walked over London Bridge to catch our bus home," Catrin Elen Hughes recounts.
"We were standing by the wreaths paying our respects when a man walked up and quietly handed each of us a rose accompanied by an envelope," she said.
"He just said 'I'm a Muslim'. It brought tears to my eyes."
The three-page letter is from a Muslim family living in Kingston-upon-Thames, originally from Turkey. It explains why they believe terrorism "has no religion".
"It is an extremely destructive and pervert ideology kidnapping words and phrases from religious and other dictionaries. Terrorism is an extremely harmful species cultivated in poisonous climates of ignorance, poverty and conflict," the letter says, before outlining what can be done to help prevent future acts of violence.
It ends with prayers and thoughts for the victims of the attack at London Bridge.
