On Nov. 16,Sisters Slave ordinary citizens are invited to join more than 100 organizations, including the U.N. Foundation, GOOD and Mashable, for Earth to Marrakech -- a day of digital messaging that demands global action on climate change.

The occasion? The 22nd Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, better known as COP22.

Last December, more than 40,000 diplomats, experts and advocates met in Paris to take part in COP21. During that time, world leaders discussed creative and impactful solutions to global warming, and adopted the Paris Agreement. This landmark agreement was monumental in that 175 countries agreed on a global policy framework for addressing climate change.

"While the world took an enormous step by approving the most ambitious, inclusive climate agreement in history, the next step -- bringing that agreement into force -- must quickly follow," U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry said at the U.N. in September.
